Antonio Meca has asked the Mayor to paralyze the competition-internal promotion that is being followed at City Hall to raise the professional category of the Municipal Music Band Director of Lorca to coincide in time with the contempt that the government team manifests to the group of musicians workers of the Band.
"We are not against the improvement of the salary conditions of the Director, but we can not allow the discriminatory treatment that this situation generates with workers who do not even receive the obligatory minimum wages such as Social Security contributions", says the Councilman .
It must be remembered that in November 2017 a joint motion was approved unanimously in the plenary session of the four municipal groups to correct this situation and today there is no news that this agreement has been met solving an unfair and unique situation in this Municipal administration that the musicians of the Municipal Band suffer.
We want to remember that in 2015 the government team made Civil Protection volunteers, requires the quotation of all workers hired by the different associations that manage public services, and yet the association that manages the Band is not financially endowed. Music to attend to the social contributions of its musicians.
Mecca affirms that "from this Municipal Group it is going to ask for the solution to this problem and the compensations to which these workers are entitled by the exceptional and irregular situation that they have suffered and continue suffering for years".
