The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar regrets that the Mayor and his Councilor for Citizen Security "swallow" this new security and traffic agreement with which the only thing they have achieved is to "overload" the skills to the Local Police "in exchange for nothing".
With the signing of the new agreement, the Government Delegation has managed to get the Local Police now to attend to "more territory" with the same number of troops that, remember, "is the smallest in years" since the PP carries "more than one decade without convoking a single position of Local Police agent in Lorca. "
Sánchez Jódar denounces the "awkwardness" of the current Mayor and his council when accepting this new agreement with which "not only does not improve citizen security in the municipality, but what they do is overload even more the current staff of Police Local".

This is the protocol that "has swallowed" the Mayor and his councilor of Public Safety, to combat the lack of security in the municipality.
The new agreement obliges local police officers, without expanding their workforce, to cover areas that were previously the responsibility of the Civil Guard, such as the zones of the industrial estates, the perimeter of the Almenara Shopping Center, the Rafael Méndez Hospital or more territory. at the entrance and exit of the city.

Sánchez Jódar has insisted that this new agreement is "in exchange for nothing", since the "counter-benefits" that the Government Delegation highlights as "achievements for Lorca" are a "new" vehicle "that has been in Lorca for 7 years and that he's tired of living, because he's more than 10 years old ";

Sánchez Jódar recalls that the Partido Popular has dedicated itself to depleting the workforce, both National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police.

At the municipal level, the catalog of Local Police posts has also been subject to very hard cuts by the Popular Party, going from 153 in 2011 to 111 in 2016, with the loss of 42 staff mostly for retirements which have been amortized without replacement of the square.
The PP takes more than a decade "without calling a single agent position" and therefore, without covering one of the retirements that have taken place during these years.
