The districts of the south of the municipality will be protagonists of a documentary film that will collect the important cultural and environmental heritage of the area (24/05/2018)

This is a project presented within the call for aid Leader framed in the strategy "Territory Campoder: growing together."

In addition, it should be noted that the City offers an advisory service for those interested in submitting applications in these calls

The Councilor for Rural Development of the Municipality of Lorca, Ángel Meca, this morning held a working meeting with the manager of the Local Action group Campoder, Miguel Buendía, to analyze the first selective process of the call for aid Leader within the strategy "Campoder Territory: growing together", endowed with 2.8 million euros.

Ángel Meca pointed out that "in this meeting, in addition to analyzing the projects presented by both the City Council and the private developers in the first selective process, work has been done on the second selective process, which is open until December 20 of the present year".

The Councilor for Rural Development explained that "the projects that contribute to development requested by both microenterprises and public entities and private non-profit entities can benefit from said aid, with the districts that are included within the territory of the Campoder local action group (Aguaderas, Almendricos, Barranco Hondo, Campillo, Carrasquilla, Cazalla, Listen, Garrobillo, Hinojar, Marchena, Morata, Parrilla, Higuera Well, Pulgara, Puntarrón, Purias, Ramonete, El Río and Torrecilla).

Mecca added that "the objectives to be pursued by these projects will be training, job creation or cooperation, improving the competitiveness and sustainability of microenterprises that operate or want to operate in the territory, protection, conservation and awareness of the environmental patrimony, the protection of the rural patrimony and the promotion of the territory, the promotion of rural tourism, the improvement of services and infrastructures in districts or rural councils ".

The Local Development Councilor stressed that "the City of Lorca also offers, through the Department of Rural Development, advisory service for those interested in submitting applications in these calls.Last notice of the final approval of public projects they will be subsidized by the Leader funds, and the project for the production, recording and dissemination of a documentary film that reflects the cultural heritage of the southern districts of Lorca, amounting to € 10,103.50, will be provisionally approved. "

Said project will make a compilation of the ethnographic, cultural and environmental heritage of the districts of Almendricos, Carrasquilla, Garrobillo, Hinojar, La Escucha, Morata, Pozo Higuera, Puntarrón, Purias and Ramonete.

It will collect the ways of life in these districts and their transformation over time, as well as the environmental heritage of the area, making special reference to places of interest within the Natura 2000 Network and BIC elements.

The video will preferably include the cultural and environmental heritage of the beaches of Lorca, including environmental awareness measures in the area.

It will have available subtitles in Spanish for people with hearing disabilities and in English to facilitate its diffusion for tourist purposes.
