The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has denounced that, due to the delay in the start of the expansion works of the CEIP Juan Navarro, of the hamlet of La Hoya, will make 50 schoolchildren continue to receive their classes in barracks , or prefabricated classrooms.

Mazuecos has asked the Ministry of Education, through the councilor responsible for it in Lorca, "do not lie when they say that they will install three barracks at the Juan Navarro school", as these prefabricated classrooms "have already been a year in this school ", while the expansion works of this center have been contemplated, at least, during the last three budgets of the Autonomous Community.

The mayor recalls that these works, which began at the end of June, have been delayed for this month of August, due to the resignation of the company that had initially been given.

However, we are talking about some works that, as we say, have been budgeted in recent years without having been made by the incompetence of the Regional Government and the complicity of the municipal government team in Lorca.

From the PSOE fear that all this delay is to make coincide the inauguration of said classrooms with the beginning of the next electoral campaign, reason why they reproach this behavior "irresponsible" since it treats of a works very reclaimed, by necessary, by part of the educational community of the CEIP Juan Navarro during the last years.
