The Local Development Councilor of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez Navarro, has announced the extension of the project "Young Employment Lorca" until June 30, with the launch of 5 new training itineraries of interest to improve professional training of young people who are enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System.
In total there are 40 places that will be available to young Lorca.
Martínez Navarro has announced that "from the City of Lorca we requested the extension of both the ongoing training activities and the deadline to carry them out, which will allow us to expand what was already a wide offer, reaching more young people In this way, the General Directorate for Autonomous and Local Cooperation of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service responded to our request and extended the deadline for execution of the projects developed through the European Social Fund until June 30. remember that they were foreseen in the Operative Program of Youth Guarantee and aimed at the sustainable integration of young people in the labor market ".
The councilor stressed that "the project" Young Employment Lorca "developed by the Local Development Council has been developing since December 2017, having trained to date 377 young people in 41 different training itineraries, the forecast was to end on 31 December 2018, but the extension until June 2019 will allow us to develop 5 new training itineraries ".
The training itineraries that will be launched, each with 8 available places and a development period of between 5 and 6 months, are:
1. Basic kitchen operations
2. Basic operations of restaurant-bar
3.English B2
4. Computer security
5. Basic operations of assembly and maintenance of microcomputer systems
The requirements to access are to be over 16 and under 30 and to be registered in the National Youth Guarantee System.
The registration period opens today, Monday, October 22, and registration can be made at the SEF, located at La Viña, or at the Local Development Center, located at Alameda de Cervantes.
The mayor wanted to encourage those interested to "enroll their enrollments and benefit from these enriching actions that will enable them to get training to get a job and thus open the doors of the labor market." It should be noted that, according to statistical data up to the moment, the labor and educational insertion of the participants in this program goes up to 40%, that means that almost half of the participating students have found a job or have resumed their studies after completing one of the training itineraries put in place , a degree of insertion very high and that is the best indicative of the success of this project ".
