The director of cinema Benito Rabal will give the course "Interpretation before the camera" on Friday and Saturday in the programming of the Popular University (23/10/2018)

The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustin Llamas, announced that the Cultural Resources Center through the Popular University held the next days 26 and 27 October the course "Interpretation before the camera" that is part of the workshop "Introduction to the world of cinema and interpretation ", taught by the prestigious director, screenwriter and writer Benito Rabal.

It is the first sessions of a cycle that will be completed on November 9 and 10.

Llamas pointed out that "within the objective of promoting a comprehensive cultural training agenda, we are now planning this ambitious workshop to be held on Friday, October 26 between 6 pm and 10 pm and on Saturday, September 27, between 10 am and 2 pm Popular University itself This course is eminently practical and aims to train students in film interpretation, with recordings, advice and correction of errors.

The workshop "Introduction to the world of cinema and interpretation" is intended to explain the keys of the cinematographic language and the different processes of a film or audiovisual production, since the idea arises until its exhibition, with special emphasis on the work of the director and interpreters and the participation of the various trades of cinema in each of the processes.

Benito Rabal is the son of the actors Paco Rabal and Asunción Balaguer, as well as the father of the actors Liberto and Candela Rabal.

His first steps in the world of cinema were as assistant director and director of the second unit with directors like Mario Camus, José Luis Garci, Pedro Olea, Imanol Uribe or William Friedkin.
