The Governing Board has approved the implementation of a new urban transport line that communicates both sites, offering an effective and free solution to the lack of parking that the hospital presents since its start-up.
The Councilor for Transport in the City of Lorca, Francisco Javier Pelegrín, reported that the Local Government Board held last Friday gave a new impetus to the implementation as soon as possible of a bus service that allows transfer of form fast, comfortable and free to users of Rafael Méndez Hospital from the Francisco Artés Carrasco stadium parking lot.
For this, a motion was approved that initiates the procedures for the creation of a new urban bus line that provides service to all users of Rafael Méndez who use the new free parking that will be enabled in the stadium of the football stadium Francisco Artés Carrasco.
It is a service that will have a periodicity between trips of 15 minutes, from Monday to Friday work, remaining operational between 7:30 and 15:30 h.
Following the legal requirements has been granted to the company that currently offers the urban transport service a process of 10 business days to inform if you are interested in taking charge of this line.
In any case, the Governing Board has agreed to initiate the procedures for the creation of this new urban bus line.
For the implementation of this service has been working in recent weeks with the aim of proceeding to the free and free parking of the Francisco Artés Carrasco football stadium, with a schedule between 7:30 and 15 :30 hours.
From this location, users will have a minibus that will take them to the hospital free of charge.
This project is one of the objectives that is being advanced by the City Council in order to facilitate parking for those who have to travel to Rafael Méndez, given the parking difficulties that it presents since it was built.
From the Government Team we have analyzed the different alternatives, supervising one by one all the plots that surround the hospital, with the support of the municipal technicians, and, after discarding other alternatives due to their infeasibility, we consider that the most viable, effective option and practice for hospital users is precisely this.
Pelegrín Poveda has anticipated that thanks to this initiative the users of the hospital, will have a more comfortable, practical and better connected to the highway, besides being totally free, as will be the minibus that will remain throughout the morning moving to the hospital to those who leave their vehicle in the parking lot of the Francisco Artés Carrasco stadium.
It should be noted that this project, for which it has been working intensively and with the caution it needs for several weeks, is an effective solution with which all Lorca win.
