The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, announced that next Thursday, November 8 will take place a day to mark the celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage organized by the Consistory, the Autonomous Community and the European Committee of the regions.
The appointment will be at 7:00 pm at Huerto Ruano and will include a talk and a concert by Curro Piñana.
Llamas has announced that "through citizen dialogue on cultural heritage we want to establish a reflection and debate on the contribution of cultural heritage in the formation of European identity in all its diversity of cultures, languages ​​and heritage".
All those interested in both Lorca and the Region of Murcia will have the opportunity to participate in this day that after the inauguration by Agustín Llamas himself and the Councilor of Presidency of the CARM, Pedro Rivera, will give the floor to the general director of the European Union, External Action and Cooperation of the Regional Government, Manuel Pleguezuelo to raise the debates about the future of Europe.
Then representatives of the European Commission in Spain will make a presentation on the role of the Union in the protection of cultural heritage.
At 7.30 pm a citizen dialogue will be proposed with representatives of associations, professionals and civil society groups on how to promote the cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia within the initiatives of the European Union.
The day will offer at 20.20 hours a concert of the famous cantaor from Cartagena Curro Piñana, to conclude with a wine of honor.
