The training considers that the offer of the concessionaire seeks to shield itself from possible remunicipalization of the service after the May elections
"The mayor should avoid this mortgage and not make any decision until the Lorca speak at the polls," says local spokesman, Antonio Meca
Ciudadanos has asked the mayor to avoid a new mortgage to the future of Lorca by Aguas de Lorca through its involvement in the reform of the former Police Station of the Plaza de San Vicente: "Hidrogea, as part of the municipal company that manages drinking water, has proposed to the government team to pay the investment of 4.5 million euros from the old police station to recover them in the next 30 years of concession that remain as a guarantee of his tenure at the head of this water service, and thus prevent or hinder the possibility of the new government remunicipalise the service ", explained the local spokesman, Antonio Meca.
Ciudadanos believes that the involvement of Aguas de Lorca (Hidrogea) will mean "shielding the company in the management of drinking water service until 2048, preventing with this maneuver that the new government team that will leave the polls in May can recover this essential service for citizens and start working to stop being the most expensive in Spain. "
Meca considers that Hidrogea, as a private part of the mixed company Aguas de Lorca, "is aware that his days are counted in Lorca, after the judicial investigation that we launched, and for which he is being investigated for serious crimes in his management, such as prevarication, bribery, misappropriation of public funds, falsification of documents and acting as a true illicit association ".
The spokesman of Citizens warns that "we will go to all possible instances to prevent this maneuver, which seeks a new mortgage for the future of Lorca."
