This is "Image.In", an activity developed in our city by the Cazalla Intercultural association, which will benefit 20 young people aged between 15 and 24 years, offering reinforcement of Spanish for those who do not master it.
Lorca shares this experience with other cities on the continent such as Pisa, Prague, Forest and Liverpool.
The Councilor for Youth in the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, and the coordinator of the project in Cazalla Intercultural Association, Beatrice Naldi, presented this morning a new European project, called Image.in.
whereby this Lorca collective will work on the cultural integration of young people through audiovisual communication workshops, with a special linguistic support for those who do not speak Spanish.
We are talking about an initiative that confirms the leadership of Lorca in terms of the implementation of activities of these characteristics throughout the region and also in the Region of Murcia.
It is about deepening in areas of youth interrelation that contribute greatly to the enrichment of the collective, promoting knowledge of other cultures and lifestyles both in Europe and in the rest of the world.
In this case the project is supported by one of the media resources of outstanding reception among young people, as is the case of the production of short films.
It is a valuable tool through which mutual knowledge is fostered.
Young people between 15 and 24 years who are interested in learning for free to make a short film, through a training action that will run from January to May in four-hour sessions on Friday afternoons, can already sign up at the M13 Youth Resource Center, where the host organization is located, and which will also be where the course will take place.
During this time, those who participate will acquire, with the help of professionals, the necessary knowledge to use the tools that allow them to promote their creativity and tell their own stories, through the different screens from which these creations can be enjoyed today, such as they are the projection rooms, the televisions, the computers and the mobile telephones, where the youth makes known their capacities, feelings, emotions through the image in movement through, especially, the social networks.
Therefore, it is about giving vent to that young concern of being able to create and have images that they want to transmit to the world, something that we want in the present to serve them to integrate socially in Lorca, and in the future it could also serve them to your labor insertion
For this, through non-formal training, they will gain knowledge about scripts, photos, videos, cameras and different approaches. "
Image.in is a project funded by the Erasmus + program and coordinated by the Italian association Alfea Cinematográfica, specializing in television productions, streaming, digital projection 4k / 2K / HD and, for some years, also in the realization of courses audiovisuals for young people
The EU and 4 countries involved in this project
In this way, the action that is presented today in Lorca will also take place in the cities of other project partners for its inhabitants.
Thus, in Pisa (Italy) will be developed with the collaboration of the University of that locality;
in Prague for OPU, in Forest (Brussels) for CPAS and in Liverpool (United Kingdom) for RARE Studio, being in charge of the international communication of the project the Belgian partner PLURALIS (Czech Republic).
The experiences of this initiative will be based on a guide of good practices for professionals in the field of youth, which includes a document with methodological indications for professionals who will work on the implementation of the courses and a sociological study on integration. of migrant youth in the context of the participating cities.
