Diego José Mateos returns to claim the construction of a safe passage from the crossing of the Deficit to the ships of the Incarnate Pass (15/01/2019)

In addition, the PSOE Lorca requires Gil Jódar to serve the road neighbors of Caravaca and contemplate in the remodeling project of this route the conditioning and channeling of the urban stretch of the ravine of Los Arcos as well as the renovation of the sanitation system and sewage system, to put an end to the terrible smells that neighbors have endured for nearly a decade.

Mateos has proposed the possibility of allocating the reduction resulting from the award of the Caravaca road project for the construction of this safe itinerary.

The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has once again demanded the construction of a safe passage along the RM-C15 or Pantano Highway, or what is the same, from the crossing of the Bar Deficit to the ships of the Incarnate Step

To do this, Mateos has raised the possibility of taking advantage of the loss resulting from the awarding of the Caravaca road remodeling works.

"Bearing in mind that, on average, the resulting losses are usually around 30%, in this case we would be talking about 450,000 euros of the total of 1.5 million, which could be used to improve pedestrian accessibility in this section."

Mateos believes that it is "inconceivable" that something so necessary, raised by active and passive neighbors and users of this area, has not been contemplated when considering the renovation of the Caravaca road, or the City of Lorca or for the Autonomous Community.

Mateos has once again demanded the creation of a safe itinerary that guarantees the safety of those users who travel from the Barrio de San Cristóbal and other places on foot to the facilities that the Paso Encarnado has on Carretera del Pantano.

The socialist spokesman has insisted that the complaints of users are "continuous", given that it is a dangerous road where vehicles reach high speeds, there are high traffic crossings such as the road that goes to the river to La Velica , it does not have sidewalks, speed reducers or pedestrian crossings, and the existing public lighting is insufficient ", in spite of being a very busy place for these users and for neighbors of the area, in addition, remember that it is a place where there are many workshops and industrial buildings, a service station and the facilities of the Community of Irrigators of Lorca.

In the same way, Mateos has highlighted the "abandonment" of the roundabouts that regulate access to this road.

"The lack of maintenance is such that the safety of the drivers is being endangered because visibility is obstructed, there are traffic signs that have been on the ground for weeks without being replaced," he warns.

As for the deficiencies presented by the current Caravaca road project, among which are the need to condition and channel the section of the ravine of Los Arcos and the improvement of sewerage, Mateos insists that it is on time " rectify ", correct the project according to the" common sense "requests of the neighbors, and include aspects that have been left out, in the same way, in an" illogical and incomprehensible "manner.

Mateos has insisted again that if Gil Jódar, disregarding the neighbors, continues to sit idly by and does nothing to include these works in the Caravaca urban road regeneration project, "he will be missing a historic opportunity to solve to a problem as serious as the one that affects these neighbors in this area of the city.
