The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, announced the celebration this weekend of the IV Tournament of Rugby Schools, which will take place in the Sports Complex of La Torrecilla.

The mayor has announced that "the Lorca Rugby Club, along with the Rugby Federation of the Region of Murcia, FERRMUR, and the Department of Sports, organized this Saturday, January 19 at 9.30 am the fourth edition of a Tournament that is part of the Rugby Schools championships circuit that the Federation starts up in. It should be noted that, more than a competition, it is a development event that aims to promote this sport from the grassroots, giving visibility to the practice of rugby and promoting it among the youngest ones so that they have the opportunity to know and enjoy it ".

Up to 180 boys and girls from the schools of all the clubs in the Region will play this tournament in different categories.

It is, therefore, a meeting of all schools in the Region of Murcia, also in the province of Alicante, which will be of high educational value for young players from the local quarry.
