The Mayor ratifies his support to the more than 200 families affected by the High Speed Works (17/01/2019)

Fulgencio Gil describes as "unattainable" that the government marginalize Lorca presenting the works unilaterally and without even having responded to the allegations sent by the City Council and neighborhood groups: "They have attacked Lorca and will have to rectify. that households of Lorca families are encased by walls of 15 meters high ".

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has described as "unattainable" for Lorca that the Government of Spain has not answered or included any of the neighborhood requests or proposals and allegations submitted by the City to tender the construction of the stretch of High Speed Totana-Lorca.

What could have been excellent news, have turned it into a disaster.

Fulgencio Gil has stated that we have had to know this situation through a press release.

It is a very bad news that has generated enormous frustration throughout Lorca, not to mention how they will fall especially this blow to their own neighbors when they find out what the Government of Spain poses.

It is a total lack of respect.

The Mayor of Lorca has stressed that the first thing I have to say is that Lorca rejects this plan, this is not going to swallow.

It is simply unaffordable, neither respect neighbors nor have respected the City Council.

They have not taken into account any of the allegations that we present, in fact they have not even answered us.

Therefore 0 in institutional respect, 0 in neighborhood participation and 0 in the ways they have had to make it public.

Fulgencio Gil has explained that in front of the requests transferred last June, the current government of Spain has not included a single step higher than we requested, nor a single variation of what we proposed.

We have not received either a phone call or a simple email informing us of what was happening.

Everything has been put on the table as a policy of fait accompli.

The Mayor has stressed that Lorca demands that their legitimate allegations be heard, and that the proposals presented be included.

Otherwise, and always in agreement with the affected neighbors, we will undertake the mobilizations and actions that are necessary, because that is the way things are not done.

They have attacked Lorca, and they will have to rectify.

As first steps we will call a meeting with those affected, while we will present a motion at the next plenary session of the City Council demanding that these allegations be included.

We have to prevent Lorca family homes from being encased by 15-meter-high earth walls.

The Mayor has indicated that the approach of the current Government is terrible, the forms horrible and the result a real fiasco.

As Mayor, I will not stand idly by looking at this marginalization of the interests of Lorca, especially when we have been able to confirm how similar claims have been made in other municipalities.

We are pleased that the allegations in other places are matched, but it must be clear since Lorca will not be any more than other municipalities.

We must remember that our proposals and allegations, unlike others, did not leave the approved path in any case, nor did they imply an increase in investment, nor did they entail any delay.

Fulgencio Gil has confirmed that public representatives have an obligation to maintain institutional forms and loyalty, something that has not been done with Lorca.

Lorca do not deserve to have to learn about these things through press releases, for that there are official channels.

With a simple phone call it would have sufficed.

However, we find a totally partisan use of Ministries, Administrations and Public Organisms, "selling" the alleged benefits of projects using a sectarian and propagandistic use of public administrations.

The PSOE has to be at the service of the institutions, and not put the institutions at the service of their party.

This has to end.

"After this I do not even want to think what they are going to do with the burial"

The Mayor said that if we are now finding ourselves with this type of behaviors and absolutely unacceptable, I do not even want to think about what will put us on the table for urban integration and the burying of roads in the urban fabric.

I do not even want to imagine how the subject will be put after this.

We are very disappointed.

The Councilor for Development, Angel Meca, recalled that the City Council moved last June to the Ministry of Development a chain of improvements and allegations to be included in the construction project of the AVE Platform requesting that given the high traffic that register the roads Villaespesa and of In the middle the steps are not elevated but buried, in addition to the replacement of the roads Mill of the Mountain range, Churra Bridge and Vereda de La Palma.

These requests include the realization of a less invasive alternative for the private buildings affected, as well as the incorporation of more drainage works and the extension of the existing ones of 2.2 m, to avoid afflictions in case of torrential rains.

It was also requested that an attempt be made to adjust the gradients to the existing terrain and to the planned transversal drainage works, since very high red heights are observed along the entire length of the platform to be executed.

With the reduction of the level of the slope we would obtain a smaller alteration of the landscape, improving the visual impact;

a lower superficial occupation of the affected properties and, therefore, a lower loss of soil and of agricultural productivity;

a lower volume of fillings ...

Lorca asked that the upper passes of the D-3 (pk 243 + 500), the Camino de Villaespesa (pk 245 + 000) and the Camino de Enmedio (pk 245 + 680) be projected lower, taking advantage of the existing road Currently, in order to reduce the conditions and improve the layout of the crossings.

It also claimed the replacement of the roads of the Sierra de la Sierra, Churra and Vereda de La Palma bridge so that they can continue to provide service, since they are roads that connect the center of the city with the surrounding districts and receive traffic. high daily of vehicles.

The City Council also requested that the upper passage that existed in the limit of the municipality of Lorca (pk 235 + 650), which was demolished when the construction of the platform of the section between Totana and Lorca of the Alcantarilla-Lorca Line was completed. of the High-Speed Mediterranean Corridor Construction Project.
