450 Lorca schoolchildren will have the opportunity to know the books of the writer Rafael Estrada thanks to the "Encounters with Author" of the Municipal Library Network (11/02/2019)

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has announced the return of the "Encounters with Author", within the extensive program developed by the Municipal Library Network to encourage reading in the municipality.

The different sessions will take place on February 13, 14 and 15.

Montiel pointed out that "thanks to the collaboration of Editorial Anaya we will have the presence of writer and illustrator Rafael Estrada, who will tell us about his books" El gigante Pintanubes "and" El rey cantarín ". Primary cycle will have the opportunity to know these works from mouth of its own author in a session that will take place during school hours tomorrow at the Children and Youth Library located on the 3rd floor of the Cultural Center Mayor José María Campoy.

Rafael Estrada is a writer and drawer who has stood out for his comic work in well-known magazines such as "La quail", "Cimoc", "Zona-84" or "Makoki", among others, as well as for his activity within the world of design and professional illustration.

As for his literary career, Estrada is known for his work dedicated to children's and young people's literature, reaching a second prize in the Lazarillo Prize for his work of 1994, "El Comisario Olegario".
