The Department of Parks and Gardens, on the occasion of Holy Week in Lorca, has created extraordinary brigades with the aim that our city looks with splendor during this time of year in which Lorca and visitors go out to the street to enjoy our parades Biblical-Passion

The planting of more than 19,000 seasonal flowers from the municipal nursery, among which stand out antirrinhum and petunias of various colors, begonias, tagetes, alisum, verbenas, thoughts and geraniums, is taking place in the Alameda de la Constitución, Alameda Ramón y Cajal, Margarita Lozano and Corregidor Lapuente, Alameda Mayor Fernando Chuecos, Carriages Square, Óvalo, Plaza Colón, Calderón, Embroidery and balconies of the Guevara Palace, Glorieta de San Vicente, Santo Domingo, Plaza del Ibreño, Plaza de España, La Merced, Plaza and Park of San José, Rotunda of the neighborhood of San Fernando and Rafael Méndez Hospital, Church of San Cristóbal and Virgen de las Huertas, as well as in the flowerpots of the Corredera and Convento streets.

The realization of these works is allowing all Lorca to have well-preserved green areas and recreation to enjoy them at this time of year in the This is possible thanks to the efforts and work of municipal technicians, as well as all workers that, with their task, make all our green areas look more splendid for the use and enjoyment of Lorca and visitors during our Holy Week.

It should be remembered that the workers of the Department of Parks and Gardens carry out throughout the year in our municipality tasks of irrigation, mowing and profiling of grass, fertilization, aeration, scarification and replanting of grass, interbedded, raking, weeding and elimination of Weeds, preservation of the structure of the existing plant elements, conservation of the trees, maintenance of the irrigation network, replenishment, pruning, shrub trimming, ornamentation of squares and gardens, as well as cleaning of these areas, among others.
