Ciudadanos proposes "improving Lorca's educational system to manage his talent well" (18/05/2019)

The mayoral candidate of Lorca highlights his commitment to the English language and marks the goal that "all our students have a C1 level before finishing the Bachillerato"

The candidate of Cs to the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Morales, has indicated today that "when we are mayor we will implement a shock plan that will improve the educational system, not only reducing the abandonment and the repetition rate in the centers, but also eliminating barriers and obstacles that allow to manage well the great talent that the Lorca treasure ".

Morales, who made these statements during a visit to the IES Prince of Asturias, explained that his firm intention is "to reduce school dropout in our municipality through innovative educational reinforcement programs in key areas such as English, mathematics, linguistics and understanding reader, which will undoubtedly contribute to improving results in a few years. "

In this sense, he has highlighted his commitment to teaching English "to ensure equal opportunities for our children in an increasingly globalized world", marking as an objective that "all our students have a C1 level before finishing the Bachillerato" , that is, the second level of greatest difficulty in the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Similarly, the Cs candidate recalled that his party has proposed the design of a National Strategy for Vocational Training (FP), something that, as noted, "will allow double the positions of Dual FP, especially those degrees of a scientific and technological nature ".

On the other hand, Francisco Morales wanted to highlight the convenience of "promoting excellence programs and the International Baccalaureate in the public education system", also defending the free textbooks for all families, an initiative that "will be achieved with a loan system of books in all schools ".

Finally, Morales has referred to the teaching group, for which Cs "will establish a system similar to the one known as MIR (Resident Medical Intern) throughout Spain, which will help us attract the best to the teaching profession and develop to the maximum all its potential ", something that" is fundamental to correctly guide our young people in these uncertain times ".
