The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has informed of the implementation of a plan to contribute to the development of the districts, which has 4 fundamental axes: tax and rate reductions, increase in citizen security, promotion of rural tourism and a catalog of more than 170 investments to execute during the next years in each and every one of our deputations.
For the next few years we propose a series of projects that benefit all the districts, both globally and with specific actions that neighbors have proposed in the meetings we have had with them.
The first one will be to complete the update of the Urban Planning Plan, following our commitment to put Urbanism at the service of people, reviewing urban and developable land, adapting it to real and current needs and putting value on the development of industrial land .
Less taxes, more services.
The aim is to extend the bonuses in the IBI and work permits for the establishment of residents in the districts, as a tool to fix population in them and fight against depopulation.
To do this we will establish tax credits for the restoration of first residence, as well as the development of a beautification project for urban rural areas.
Other measures in this same line will be to develop a specific study of the real needs of public transport in the high districts, both with the center of Lorca and between them with the objective of establishing a bus service interpedanías with flexible schedules and low prices .
The staff of the Rapid Intervention Brigade, BIR, will be increased to respond more quickly and carry out improvement and reparation actions in the different deputies.
Citizen security
It will proceed to increase the staff of Local Police in 30 troops, increase mobile patrols in districts and a new plan to install video surveillance cameras, according to the requests of their neighbors.
We will also demand the increase of the National Police and Civil Guard of the municipality, to increase surveillance and presence at street level and on the way.
Rural tourism
We bet to encourage guided visits to the different facilities of the traditional economic fabric of the high districts, such as wineries, quarries, distillation plants of aromatic plants, textile facilities ... as an attractive resource of rural tourism in the area.
We propose to promote the visits of schoolchildren from the city of Lorca to farms and farms and livestock so that they know our wealth.
It is a question of revaluing the different places and archaeological remains of the area as well as the valorization of the typical landscape of the territory to elaborate an attractive proposal of rural tourism.
We advocate for the promotion of the rural and cultural heritage of our municipality, as well as the rescue of the material and immaterial heritage of the area.
From the PP will proceed to the development of a map of trails, trails and rural roads to make it a tourist product, as well as to promote caravan tourism throughout the municipality.
This plan includes a catalog of 150 new actions in districts, which gather the requests that have been transferred to us by our neighbors in the periodic work meetings we had been holding with them.
