Lorca will host on Sunday June 9 the institutional act of the Day of the Region, in commemoration of the XXXVII anniversary of the Statute of Autonomy of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The institutional act will be chaired by the regional chief executive, Fernando López Miras, and will be held at the local War Theater, where the different distinctions awarded this year by the regional government will be handed out.
The Governing Council approved at its meeting held on May 8 the beginning of the procedure for the award of the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia to the Central Union of Irrigators of the Tajo-Segura Aqueduct (SCRATS), to the cultural manager Paco Martín , posthumously, the Asilo Store Foundation of San Pedro, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia and Murcia Tennis Club.
Likewise, the Executive also began the procedure for the awarding of the Necktie of Honor to the 5th Civil Guard Zone, as well as the Diploma of Distinguished Services to the Pupaclown association, to the Economic and Social Council of the Region of Murcia (CES) , Proyecto Hombre, Dr. Antonio López Bermejo, the researcher Pablo Artal, the businessman Alfonso López Rueda, the poet Dionisia García and the music group Los Parrandboleros.
