The City Council encourages all Lorca companies in the sector to present their offers with the aim that the investment to be made directly affects the economic dynamism of our municipal area.
The Governing Board of the City of Lorca has included in its agenda for the session to be held tomorrow Friday launch the contracts for works and supplies contracts to complete the equipment works of the Center of Fairs and Congresses of Santa Quiteria.
It is a procedure that already has its reports of need and corresponding credit withholdings.
Tomorrow, Friday, the beginning of the hiring will be approved and the next one will proceed to the opening of the bids, publishing the corresponding project in the profile of the contractor. This tender is developed under a simplified Open Procedure.
The first of these tenders, out of a total of 7, totaling 6,503,337.79 euros, is a works contract with an external collaborator, which includes masonry, coatings, flooring and tiling, carpentry, sanitation, plumbing , fire-fighting installations, glass and paintings amounting to € 2,407,564.47.
The rest, from 2 to 7, are supply contracts grouped by very specific specialties, which favor the concurrence of local companies specific to each sector.
We can anticipate that the supplies are the following:
- Electrotechnical material: 824,402.74 €.
- Lighting material: € 521,383.41.
- Air conditioning and ventilation: € 868,789.70.
- Elevators and elevators: € 199,773.96.
- Stage equipment, spectacular lighting and sound: € 1,063,703.55.
- Furniture seats in conference rooms and auditorium: € 617,719.96.
The system chosen by the Consistory for these tenders will allow companies in Lorca to have the opportunity to participate in the works.
They are going to combine own means of the City council with adjudications by lots to do the works faster and give more opportunities to the Lorca companies.
The realization of this work by Administrative mode allows Lorca to exercise greater control of the work.
These facilities already have a multipurpose space of 1,500 m2 located in the main building of the Trade Fair and Congress Center, in addition to the 4,661 m2 offered by the large Exhibition and Exhibition Hall, also in operation.
The fairs and exhibitions included in the usual annual programming of our city are already being held in this new infrastructure, as has been the case of Fericab, Sicarm, Feramur and Sepor.
The works contemplate the interior conditioning of the building, all the interior installations and the equipment.
We are talking about some jobs that involve a new investment financed entirely by the Regional Government, with an amount of € 6,936,276.
The construction of the new Fairground is one of the priority and strategic actions of this municipality, a project that responds to the social demand of the entire municipality by having a modern, functional and comfortable infrastructure that allows social, economic and businesses in the city have a multipurpose space and guarantees.
It is a Fair and Congress Center that places Lorca at the forefront, and reinforces our role as the subregional capital and head of the county.
The works that have been executed to date have involved a total investment of 6,849,999.97 euros, including the previous demolitions, as well as all the foundations, complete structure of the building and its enclosures.
The project includes the complete definition of the interior fittings, facilities and equipment of the projected buildings, surfaces, raised floors, etc., so that the functionality of them and their integration in the urban space of the city can be clearly appreciated.
The new fairgrounds and congresses of Lorca is built on the land where the demolished Santa Quiteria fairground was located.
The first phase of the project contemplated the demolition of the old fairgrounds, the dismantling of the old outer cover for its later installation in the Huerto de la Rueda, and the completion of a wide excavation of 4 meters deep to establish the foundation of the new buildings.
The works also include the preparation of all the medium voltage installations, telephony, drinking water supply and sanitation that provided services within the scope of execution of the work.
In addition, they include the realization of the foundation, structure, enclosures and waterproofing works for this new sociocultural facility, which will include an auditorium.
Once all the construction phases for the construction of this new equipment have been completed, the Exhibition Center's exhibition capacity will have been increased, which will go from the 5,010 m2 that the previous one had to 8,600 m2.
