The deadline to participate in the Poster Contest announcing Holy Week 2020 is now open (15/10/2019)

Of the works, which may be submitted until next November 9, their quality, mastery of the artistic techniques used, as well as innovation will be valued when reflecting the originality of the Passional Biblical Parades.

The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Morales has announced that the deadline to participate in the contest of the poster of Holy Week 2020 is already open.

The Councilor for Tourism has detailed that "in the bases, which can be consulted on the municipal portal www.lorca.es, it is collected, among others, that the contest determines the existence of a single winner, who will receive a prize for the amount of 1,000 euros, plus a diploma. "

Morales has indicated that "in this contest any person over 18 years of age and resident in Spain may participate, whatever their nationality. The theme will be monographic, Holy Week in Lorca and its Passional Biblical Parades, generically in any of the

religious, cultural and artistic manifestations and peculiarities that make it up ".

It will be valued, above all, that the work presented, which must be unpublished, includes the most original elements and that distinguish Lorca's Holy Week from those of the rest of Spain, such as embroidery, horse, or passion with The Lorca people live this celebration.

For this, the author may use the pictorial technique (painting, watercolor, engraving, photography ...) or the signage design system of his choice, provided that it is possible to reproduce it in print.

There will be no limits on the use of colors or methods, except for fluorescent colors to be avoided.

The works will be presented exclusively in digital media that will be delivered in a sealed envelope in the General Registry of the City of Lorca without signature or pseudonym, and with the title "Lorca Holy Week Poster Contest 2020", in the case of not being presented in the Registry, it will be necessary to send a scanned copy of the request for participation to the email turismo@lorca.es before 15h of the last day of presentation, that is to say on November 9.

The jury will take into account in addition to the quality of the work, the mastery of the artistic techniques employed, as well as innovation, and if the faithful reflection of the cultural and artistic manifestation of Holy Week in Lorca has been achieved highlighting its originality.

The winning poster will be the one that promotes Holy Week in Lorca 2020 outside the municipality in as many fairs and promotional events that are held from the Department of Tourism, both nationally and internationally.

It can also be used as the cover of the Holy Week 2020 brochures edited by the City of Lorca.

In addition, with all the works presented, it is intended to make an exhibition so that the authors of the non-awarded works will not be able to exhibit their works on social networks or in any other way until the opening of said exhibition.

Finally, Morales has encouraged everyone to participate in this contest "creating the image that promotes Lorca's Easter around the world."
