Around 300 pigeons of seven different races will compete in beauty and physical perfection according to their respective standards

The Councilor for Sports, Irene Jódar, and the president of the Society of Palomistas 'Ciudad del Sol', Gregorio Gómez, presented this morning the "VIII Exhibition Competition of Pigeons of Race" organized by the Society of Palomistas, in collaboration with Lorca of the Department of Sports.

The opening to the public will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the same day, while Saturday will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. That day at 5:00 p.m. visitors will be able to enjoy the contest of seduction on a flyer of the different races, and on Sunday November 17, the opening to the public will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and trophies will be delivered and withdrawals of the pigeons".

Jódar stressed that "this event will allow lovers of colombiculture, amateurs and the public in general to enjoy and contemplate these specimens of pigeons, genuine from our Region, and that thanks to the fans of groups such as the Society of Pigeons" City of Lorca "keep raising specimens."

The mayor has indicated that "the place where this Contest-Exhibition is going to take place is in IFELOR, where copies of the homologated races of Cuco Lorquino, Quebrado Murciano, Morrillero Alicantino, Laudino Murciano, Buchón Porcelano, Buchón Gaditano, and Class Dove that will be judged by specialized judges belonging to the Federation of Colombians of the Region of Murcia to see if they conform to the ideal standards of beauty and physical perfection. "

The president of the Club del Colombicultura Ciudad del Sol, Gregorio Gómez, wanted to thank "the Department of Sports for the support for this event, in which around 70 growers, who bring 300 pigeons of 7 different races. Gómez added that "the Contest-Exhibition is within the calendar of competitions-exhibitions of Breed Colombiculture of the Murcian Federation of Colombiculture and is a qualifier for the Regional of Colombia, which will be held in February 2020. In addition to the contest-exhibition properly speaking, other activities for the dissemination of races are held, and the participation of exhibitors of accessories and products for colombiculture is allowed.
