Lorca begins his pastoral visit in La Paca]

The Bishop of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes, has started today in La Paca his pastoral visit to the area of ​​Lorca.

A pastoral visit that includes three arciprestazgos - Urban Lorca, Campo de Lorca Norte and Campo de Lorca Sur - and will end on February 21.

Accompanied by the vicar of the area of ​​Lorca, at 11:00 a.m. the bishop arrived at the parish of Our Lady of the Virgin of the Huertas de La Paca, where the parish priest, Saúl Sánchez, and a large group of faithful were waiting for him .

Mons. Lorca explained to them that the purpose of this pastoral visit is "to live as close as possible to the problems, joys and joys of the people of God."

On behalf of the parish community, Saúl Sánchez, has welcomed the bishop: “We open our parish, our houses and our hearts.

That pastoral visit is for us a stimulus, an awakening, a call to review life and apostolic action, to convert us more to the Lord and be more faithful to his Gospel. â€

Mons. Lorca has met with the pediatric mayor of La Paca, Manuel Espín;

and he has also visited the Petra González Public and Primary School and the Pedanías Altas Secondary Education Institute, where he has chatted with the students.

After lunch, the activity of this pastoral visit of the Bishop of Cartagena to La Paca will continue.

Mons. Lorca will dedicate some time to visit the sick, will have a meeting with the catechists of the parish, will meet with the Association of Women of La Paca and, finally, will preside over the seasonal mass, at 7:30 p.m., in the parish .

The pastoral visit will continue tomorrow Tuesday in Zarcilla de Ramos;

Thursday, in Fuensanta and La Parroquia;

and on Friday, in Coy and Aviles.

The visit will resume on December 9 in Almendricos;

on 12, the bishop will go to El Esparragal;

13, to La Hoya;

and on the 14th and 15th it will be in Puerto Lumbreras.

On Sunday December 22, the bishop will move to Santa Gertrudis and Marchena.

After the Christmas holidays, Mons. Lorca will resume the pastoral visit on January 13 in the city of Lorca.
