The Councilor for Finance of the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán, has denounced "the irresponsibility and cynicism demonstrated by a Popular Party that has dedicated itself to spending money that it did not have."

Abellán has revealed "the maximum irresponsibility demonstrated with the way in which the previous Government Team of the Popular Party has melted the money of Lorca and Lorca and, just over a month to the end of the year, the invoices of expenses incurred before June 15, the date on which the Socialist Party took the reins of this City Council, are still arriving and we are aware that many more suppliers will continue to present invoices of services made to this Consistory and have not been paid " .

The Councilor recalled that "since this new Government Team took office last June, when the budget of this City Council was already set at almost 90 percent in just half a year, five months have passed and , since then, since the discovery of the crumbs of a wasted budget of which we have had to make a totally contained expense without being able to carry out many of the true proposals and initiatives necessary for this city and, even so, seeing ourselves in the obligation of face different needs that have arisen with the daily operation of the City Council and that had to be met yes or yes and, therefore, that more expenses have had to be made ".

The Mayor of the Treasury has indicated that "the Popular Party not only spent almost the entire annual budget in just six months, but that they spent well above that budget and, today, November 27, they have arrived until this new Government Team, invoices of the PP stage amounting to 743,500.15 euros, an amount spent above the budget established for 2019, that is, in less than six months the Popular Party spent almost the entire budget and almost a million euros more. "

Abellán has explained that "next year's budget, due to sanitation plans, is already born with a surplus of 800 thousand euros, that is to say, from the start the income has to exceed the expenses by about one million euros, as well as the debts to the companies of Lorca that have carried out their work worth 1.4 million euros, with what we expect to reach 70 million euros in the budget for 2020, we have to subtract more than 2 million euros " .
