The young socialists of Lorca renewed their Municipal Executive Commission in an Assembly with more than fifty assistants, and in which they were supported by the Secretary General of the Socialist Association of Lorca, and Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, in addition to the National Deputy, Marisol Sánchez Jódar
Last Friday, January 10, the Socialist Youth of Lorca held an extraordinary assembly where the election of the new executive of the youth group took place, after which José Ignacio Pérez Romera was elected as the new secretary general, replacing José Ángel Ponce.
Pérez Romera takes over from the General Secretariat after eight years of José Ángel Ponce at the head of the socialist youth organization.
Ponce said goodbye, saying he was "satisfied with the job well done, and especially calm knowing that the organization stays in the best hands."
The new local executive was configured as follows:
General Secretariat: José Ignacio Pérez.
Deputy Secretary General: Celia González.
Organization Secretariat: Clemente Segura.
Municipal Policy and Training: Tamara Soto.
Regional Action Secretariat: Natalia Segura.
Ministry of Culture: Raúl Lorca.
Ministry of Education and University: Ana Reinaldos.
Ministry of Housing and Youth Employment: José Manuel Segura.
Secretariat of Ecology and Animal Welfare: Juan Alberto González.
Secretariat of Equality: Alba Martínez.
Ministry of Economic Development, Rural and Pedanías: Pedro Antonio Mulero.
Networks and associationism: Bartolo Martínez.
According to Pérez Romera, "this group of young people, with preparation, enthusiasm and desire to work in the service of Lorca is made available to all young Lorca who want to contribute ideas or propose projects to try to transform them into reality."
The new Secretary General stressed "the importance of Socialist Youth in society" and presented his project claiming that "more than a project is an opportunity to put young Lorca in the place where they deserve."
This assembly was attended by the mayor of Lorca, and General Secretary of the Lorca socialists, Diego José Mateos and the national deputy Marisol Sanchez, in addition to the general secretary of Socialist Youth of the Region of Murcia Miguel Ortega, as well as the LGTBI secretary of the same Julián García group.
José Ignacio Pérez Romera is 24 years old and a neighbor of the Aguaderas district.
Student of political science, government and public administration at the UMU has been a member of the Socialist Youth of Lorca since 2017 and is the current deputy secretary of JSRM since September 2019.
