The mayor of Culture has detailed that "it is a novel of historical character, which will be presented this Thursday, starting at 8 p.m. in the Huerto Ruano, and that tells the life of Lucia, born in the castle of Puentes ( Lorca), and that was kidnapped at the age of 12, going to live a good season with Boabdil, the last sultan of the kingdom of Granada. "
Mazuecos has explained that "the story of both characters centers the novel, which is a song to nature enclosed in simplicity, love and beauty of living, being Lucia a fighting woman who lives in the search for clean and true love, touring a good part of the territory of Murcia, Almeria and Granada ".
The Councilor for Culture has added that "at the same time, 'Lucía, la romi lorquina' is a song to our roots, to our traditions and customs, to our culture. A tribute to our people and their landscapes, to our ways of life ".
'Lucía, la romi lorquina' is the fourth novel by Luis Caparrós, a school teacher and natural profession of the Rambla de Oria neighborhood (Oria), in the province of Almería, a great connoisseur of the villages of the Almanzora valley.
Teaching, his experience as a politician, among others, was mayor of Purchena (Almería) between 1991 and 2000, and his research studies support him in the deep knowledge of that territory.
Caparrós had previously published other novels, specifically "The tree of memory", "Back after my steps" and "Salty tears".
