Last Friday, January 31, fans of flamenco singing were able to enjoy the extraordinary performance of the singer Antonio Ayala, "El Rampa", and the guitar of the young Murcia, Rodrigo Félix, a student at the School of Flamenco in Cartagena.

The Cartagena artist returned to the Peña Cultural Flamenca de Lorca after many years and having won the Golden Sun in the 1989 edition. He also has the La Unión Mining Lamp, El Melón de Oro de Lo Ferro, El Abanico from Barcelona and many other awards at the most important festivals in Andalusia and Extremadura.

With the help of the Cervantes Institute he toured internationally in various capitals Paris, Rome, London, Tel Aviv ...

In 2003 he recorded an album entitled Desolación en la Chimera with poems by and about Luis Cernuda, sponsored by CAM and published with the RTVE label.

On Friday night, Antonio EL Rampa, masterfully interpreted a wide repertoire that began with a solea to end by joys and bulerías.

Finally, he invited a group of students from his school and friends from Cartagena to the stage to accompany him to the beat.

Among the large group of Cartagena fans was Raquel Cantero, a well-known cantaora from Extremadura and a professor at the Conservatory, as well as several members of the Antonio Piñana club.

Rosa Martínez and Juan Carlos Lázaro, responsible for the House of Andalusia, Rafael Alberti, came from Torrevieja.

Apart from watching the performance, they took the opportunity to invite the Peña Flamenca de Lorca to their Second International Flamenco Day that will take place on February 9 and also inform them that this is going to deliver a award along with the rock El Morato de Almería.

The evening was also attended by Lola Valverde and Guillermo Castro, from Murcia Flamenca, who traveled from the capital to see the guest artist.

This first gala of the year has had a great success of the public when the capacity of the Peña Lorquina was completed with the presence of a large number of partners and many followers from different places of the municipality of Lorca.

Had there been more room, there would have been many more fans who could have enjoyed the Flemish night.
