The City Council has processed a total of 2,929 files affected, until the end of January (05/02/2020)

The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, once again appeals to "those affected by the 2011 earthquakes who still have to submit documentation to do so as soon as possible in order to remedy all those incidents that may have arisen during the processing ".

The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has informed, this morning, the status of processing simplified supporting accounts by the beneficiaries of the aid granted after the earthquakes in May 2011.

The mayor has detailed that "as of January 27, 2020, a total of 2,929 records of victims of earthquakes have been processed, of which 2,127 correspond to supporting accounts that have already been sent to the Autonomous Community, with others pending 484 files with different cases, either because they lack documentation, that they have already prescribed or because the affected neighbors are not located because they no longer live in that address or have gone to another city. "

Diego José Mateos explained that "of the almost 500 files that are still to be processed, 151 victims have been sent a letter to go to the Earthquake Office and today, they have not yet come or did not have no documentation to contribute to your file ".

Reason why, Mateos, once again, has returned to make "an appeal to all those neighbors who are still pending to submit a document that they do so as soon as possible in order to solve their situation and give this process is finished, since during the next months all those incidents that may have arisen during the processing can be corrected ".

The First mayor has also referred to another of the cases that were added and that a principle had not been taken into account, as is the case with neighboring communities.

Mateos has affirmed that "of the total of files subject to the law, some 265 have been sent to CARM 230, of which 222 correspond to the relationship that the Autonomous Community sent us."

Mateos Molina recalled that "from the first moment that this government team arrived at the City Council, the assistance staff that carried out the advice in the Earthquake Office, located in the Department of Urban Planning, and also the number of technicians in charge were reinforced of visiting homes and checking the works. "

The mayor has reiterated his "total commitment to solve these issues that can not be extended in time, we have put all the means that were in our hands, but we need that those affected continue to do their part and collaborate in order to turn the page once and for all".

Mateos has once again shown "our complete willingness to continue to go hand in hand with the Autonomous Community in the management of these procedures so that all victims can justify all the money they received in aid for the damage caused by the earthquakes in May from 2011".

It should be remembered that the simplified justification account for the aid received as a result of the earthquakes of 2011 is the formula approved by the Ministry of Development, at the proposal of the City of Lorca, for all those affected who had not been able to justify the aid and close, so , with this new instrument the open files.
