The mayor of Urbanism, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, says that "it was the neighbors themselves who decided in assembly to delay the placement of a transformer, whose location was decided by the previous government team, until another place is found next to the zone school center ".
The councilor of Urban Planning and Electric Service of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén has referred to the complaint made this morning from the Popular Party about the regularization of electric service in several homes in the Almendricos district.
The councilor of Urbanism has said "not to understand the cynical attitude of the Popular Party and specifically his councilor, Angel Meca, who is the one who made this complaint this morning, since he has had municipal responsibility for the electric service and is aware that this is a problem that goes back to 2009 ".
Ruiz Guillén has recriminated to Meca that "at no time from the previous government team will the location of the transformer be reported. We, since we arrived at the mayor's office, transferred the situation to the neighbors, and precisely, the delay in that regularization of the electric service in several homes it comes from the neighborhood opposition to being located near the Almendricos school. "
The mayor has explained that "from the first moment we are collaborating with the residents of Almendricos so that the school that is very old and that no longer meets the necessary conditions is transferred to another area and that children can receive their education in more facilities suitable, and for that we need the collaboration of the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Community, so we ask Mr. Meca that, instead of criticizing the ineffectiveness of the current government team, and if so constructive is the opposition that they say they are doing in the City Council, because they ask their colleagues in the Autonomous Community, to expedite these procedures, to facilitate the City Council and the neighbors that a definitive solution can be adopted. "
Ruiz has insisted that "from the Municipal Corporation we are making all the necessary arrangements with the Iberdrola company to find another location that will satisfy the neighbors or that the Ministry of Education, as we have already said, move the area school to another place" .
"At the end of the previous legislature, the previous corporation hired some channeling work in the absence of placing the transformer for the realization of the same, and once the location with the neighbors was consulted, they do not want to be placed there," he added the concilor.
Finally, the Town Planning Councilor recalled that "with previous socialist corporations whenever new urban planning licenses were granted, the issue of lighting and electricity supply was resolved, thanks to an agreement with Iberdrola, something that the Popular Party stopped doing when it arrived to the mayor's office, not executing the aforementioned agreement and that so long after the neighbors, in all their right, continue to claim ".
