In this meeting, the results of all the workshops held in our municipality will be shared with the rest of the European youth, from France, Bulgaria, Ireland and Italy, and will participate in those organized by the rest of the participants.

The councilor of Youth of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce, has presented, this morning, together with the representatives of Cazalla Intercultural, Sibil Rodríguez and Tania Carrillo, the exchange program "Our Scope" in which 17 young Lorca will participate between the 16 and 22 February and to be held in the French city of Montpellier.

The mayor of Youth explained that "the objective of this program will be the exchange of good practices and the presentation of the results of the workshops held in all the partner countries of the project. So, together with the young Lorca, another 40 young people will participate from France, Bulgaria, Ireland and Italy. "

Ponce Díaz recalled that "this exchange will be the culmination of the project of the same name that has been developed over the past two years in these five countries."

For his part, from Cazalla Intercultural, Manuel Semitiel, has detailed that "the main objectives of the project have been to develop a common training program that offers young people with fewer opportunities the possibility of acquiring civic, artistic, audiovisual and intercultural skills, as well such as the training of tutors and co-tutors in a peer learning framework and transnational exchange for mutual learning. "

Semitiel has pointed out that "throughout the project young people have had the possibility of training in a peer learning framework on different artistic and audiovisual topics in a training program with an approximate duration of 80 hours."

In addition, they had the opportunity to participate in several international meetings, the first in Derry (Ireland) oriented to the training of tutors and co-tutors and the second one that we present today in Montpellier (France) aimed at all those young people who have actively participated in local workshops and in which they will coincide with other young people from Ireland, France, Bulgaria and Italy.

From Cazalla Intercultural they have pointed out that "the young people of Lorca have carried out throughout 2019 and this 2020 a series of workshops at the M13 Youth Training and Resources Center for other young people in Lorca based on the methodology of peer education (workshops organized by young people for other young people). Now they will show and share in Montpellier with the rest of young Europeans all the workshops held in Lorca and participate in those organized by the rest of young people. "
