The City of Lorca grants the underground license for the old electrical substation of the La Viña neighborhood (17/02/2020)

The Councilor for Urban Planning and Electricity of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, announced this morning, together with the Director of the Town Planning Office of the Consororio Lorquino, Vicente Blasco, the underground license that has been granted to the former substation electric of the neighborhood of La Viña.

The mayor said that "the City of Lorca, through the Department of Urban Planning has granted a license for the execution of the underground project of the Hípica-Hinojar power line, 132 Kv, located in the neighborhood of La Viña" .

José Luis Ruiz Guillén explained that "what is granted now is the burial of a large space of more than half a kilometer, 603 meters long, specifically, from the vicinity of the ALDI supermarket to the other side of the highway, exceeding the branch of exit in Murcia direction of the highway. Ruiz Guillén has detailed that "the works will be executed to make this underground compatible with that of the redevelopment works of the San Antonio Neighborhood, and adjacent, and that contemplate the underpass under the roundabout of the neighborhood, adapting the full constructive compatibility of both projects between Ibredrola and the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure of the Region of Murcia.

For his part, Vicente Blasco recalled that "it was March 24, 2003 when the City of Lorca, Ceclor and the energy company Ibedrola signed an urban agreement that approved the transfer of the electrical substation of the Barrio de The Vineyard and the urban development of the area, which forced the underground of the Equestrian-Hinojar line of 132 Kv, in accordance with the agreed conditions and using the area defined as an electric corridor in the General Planning Plan of our municipality ".

In addition, Blasco has advanced that "the Consistory has initiated contacts with the company that owns the land located in front of the substation to achieve, in the medium term, that the underground exceeds the Old Way of the Port, to allow the future urbanization of the area and that be dedicated to the creation of homes and green areas. "
