The PP proposes to seek financing to connect the bike lane of the Aguilas road with the San Fernando neighborhood and the Parador de los Seguras (17/02/2020)

The Councilor for Rural Development in the City of Lorca for the Popular Party, Ángel Meca, has proposed that the Municipal Consistory take the necessary actions to execute in the shortest possible time the repair and conditioning works of the Parador de los Parador road. Safe, with the incorporation in one of its margins of a pedestrian zone on one of the sides of said road, allowing the pedestrian improvement of the sidewalks of the Chaparros road, as well as the extension of the bike path of the Aguilas road and connection in its path with the future pedestrian zone of the Parador de los Seguras.

Ángel Meca explained that the extension of the Eagles Road Bike Lane would be an improvement not only for the residents of Tiata, but for all Lorca as a whole, as it would expand the existing network, giving continuity to the one located on the Eagles Road, linking it with the one enabled in the central round.

From El PP we request that the City of Lorca, contemplate the economic items necessary to undertake the execution of the road of the Parador de los Seguras and the pedestrian improvement of the Chaparros, a work that should be tackled either through municipal financing or subsidies that the City Council can obtain from other administrations.

We propose that the City Council contemplate the necessary financing to undertake the extension of the cycle lane between the Central Round and the existing cycle lane in the roundabout of the RMD-12.

It should be noted that Tiata is one of the 38 districts that make up our extensive municipal term, located in a privileged place in the heart of the Lorca garden.

It is a piece of our land loaded with great history and tradition throughout the ages.

Although it is small in territorial extension, its legacy is great in issues such as irrigation, culture, folklore and its traditions, as it was the land chosen to build the sanctuary in honor of the Virgen de las Huertas, Patroness of the city .

Until recently, the hamlet began at the Torta bridge and covered the entire Virgen de las Huertas, Calle Horno and the surroundings of the El Faroli restaurant.

In the last decade there have been multiple projects executed by the City Council in the district, which have improved the services and infrastructure that serve its neighbors and Lorca as a whole: the Vía Verde de Cazalla, extension of the Vía Verde to the House of the Doctor, remodeling a section of the old D-10 road, incorporation of sanitation collectors among the most prominent.

Ángel Meca has advanced that this proposal will be submitted to the next Plenary Session of the City Council through a motion with the objective of obtaining the commitment and support of all the municipal political groups aimed at carrying out the actions requested by the neighbors.
