The Minister of Development holds a meeting with the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca interested in regional investments of 2020

The Autonomous Community will begin in March the assembly of the bridge roads over the Guadalentín in Lorca, which are part of the works of the second section of the Central Round.

The action, which will improve the mobility of the city by establishing a new step in the river, has a total regional investment of 3.6 million euros of which 2.9 are contemplated in the budgets of this department for 2020.

This was announced today by the Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, to the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca, Juan Francisco Gómez, with whom he held a meeting to learn about the situation of the different road projects he carries out the Autonomous Community in the city of Lorca.

Díez de Revenga explained that the regional investment that the Ministry will carry out will act on three fundamental axes: the urban renewal of the neighborhoods, the conservation and repair of its roads and the construction of new roads that improve its communication and mobility.

"During the year 2020, a total of 13,003,750 euros will be invested in the construction of new roads, to which another 13 million are added for the conservation of the regional road network in the city of Lorca," said the counselor of Promotion and Infrastructure.

Regarding the conservation of roads, the counselor said that the investments will be allocated to five actions that will improve the circulation of users of the roads from Puerto Lumbreras to Almendricos (RM-D17): the one that joins Lorca with El Campico López ( RM-D8);

the route of Zarzadilla de Totana (RM-C9);

and the urban crossing in Lorca of the Caravaca de la Cruz highway (RM-711).
