The "September Fair" in Lorca is suspended (22/05/2020)

| The Lorca City Council agrees with the groups involved to suspend the ´September Fair´ | As for the other events whose celebration is also scheduled for autumn "for the moment, their governing bodies have not ruled on it, what is clear is that if they are held, they will have to adapt to the new circumstances and security measures established by health authorities.

" The Councilor for Celebrations of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce has reported the decision taken by the Lorca municipality in agreement with the groups involved to suspend the September Fair as a result of the coronavirus health crisis. The Councilor for Celebrations recalled that "this week we have held meetings with the groups directly involved, to discuss the situation we are facing, and we have decided that it is best to suspend this edition of the fair, as municipalities such as Murcia, Cartagena or Molina de Segura ". José Ángel Ponce has pointed out that "due to the health crisis we are experiencing, it will not be possible to enjoy the Lorca Fair as we know and deserve it, for this reason, this decision has been taken in coordination with the groups involved who we thank for their collaboration " As already happened with our Easter and in coordination with the steps and brotherhoods, the decision was made to suspend it due to the current crisis situation, it is clear that it was also a painful decision for all, but the health of all is above " Rest of autumn fairs As for the rest of the fairs scheduled for autumn, such as FERICAB, SEPOR or FERAMUR, the councilor for Agriculture and Livestock, Antonio Navarro, has reported that "at the moment their governing bodies have not ruled on this matter, for which reason they have asked the People's Party that does not anticipate events and that they try to contribute and not subtract in a situation as serious as the one we are experiencing as a consequence of the health crisis.
