The General Directorate of Sports, Public Health and the City Council of Lorca agree to suspend the XLII edition of the Guadalentín Sports Games due to the health situation in the municipality of Lorca.

This sports program included important events such as the RallySprint Zarcilla de Ramos, the Peñarrubia Lorca Trail or the Mountain Crossing that will not be held on the date set due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19. After studying the epidemiological situation that the municipality of Lorca is currently experiencing, the institutions involved, the General Directorate of Sports and the Lorca City Council, have made the decision to suspend the 42nd edition of the so-called 'Lorca Olympics', in an act of responsibility, common sense and prevention. The Organizing Committee of the Guadalentín Sports Games decided on July 16 to begin with the appropriate procedures for the application of the different tests that were part of the programming of this event.

Request that the General Directorate of Sports and Public Health has carefully studied.

To finally make the unanimous decision, together with the Sports Department of the Lorca City Council, to suspend all these sports events that were scheduled to be held in September and October.
