This initiative organized by the Councils for Equality and Education aims to "raise awareness about equal opportunities between women and men, providing coeducational messages and breaking gender stereotypes, in addition to educating in values ??and also in the proper expression of emotions." The Councilor for Equality and Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has reported the call, by the Lorca City Council, of the audiovisual creation contest "There are many stories to tell", whose theme is to educate in equality. The Councilor for Equality and Education has indicated that "the objective is to raise awareness about equal opportunities between women and men, providing coeducational messages and breaking gender stereotypes; educate in values ??and also in the proper expression of emotions; eliminate the consolidation of gender stereotypes, untying toys, games or activities associated with a specific gender; motivate to resolve conflicts peacefully through dialogue and the search for solutions, thus promoting collaborative play and peaceful coexistence ". Furthermore, Antonia Pérez explained that "the aim is to promote a non-sexist academic and professional orientation in students, make visible and value the contributions of women to society over the years, as well as prevent gender violence and other forms of violence directed against women and girls ". Pérez Segura has specified that "this action, integrated into the State Pact against Gender Violence, in the development of the objective 'Breaking the silence: awareness and prevention', is financed from credits received by the Ministry of Equality , through the State Pact against Gender Violence, and has the nature of a subsidy ". All the infantile and primary education centers of the municipality can participate, from the Second Cycle of Infant Education to Sixth of Primary (both inclusive), with the legal authorization of parents, guardian or legal representative of the minors participants in it. The deadline for submitting applications will be open until November 2 at 12 noon, once the announcement of the call has been published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM).

Each educational center may present as many creations as it deems appropriate, likewise, there is no limit as to the number of students that can be trained part of each proposal that will consist of videos of no more than six minutes in length, recorded in horizontal orientation and that will be presented in any format supported by the YouTube platform. The work must be published on said platform in a private way, for this each educational center should open its own channel on YouTube or create its own account on said platform to upload, privately, their works to it.

Regarding the awards, the single award for the winning audiovisual work will be considered a grant in kind, a single award will be awarded to the winning audiovisual work, which will consist of a batch of six SAMSUNG brand tablets, which will be made available to the winning educational center for use as a pedagogical tool that stimulates the learning of minors and familiarizes them with the use of new technologies, as well as to contribute to the elimination of the digital divide produced among students, due to economic, social or geographical issues , thus contributing to favor access to technological means for minors ". Interested educational centers will submit the Participation Request and the Responsible Declaration electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the Lorca City Council, through the municipal website www.lorca.es. The works must be original, unpublished and their authorship must be endorsed by the educational center that presents them, they may be presented in Spanish or English, they must be edited with Spanish subtitles, in order to guarantee the accessibility of their content for people hearing impaired. The jury will be made up of a technician from the Department of Equality, who will act as its secretary; one from the Department of Education; another from Youth; of the Municipal Network of Libraries of the City Council of Lorca; as well as the president of the FAMPA Guadalentín, or the person in whom he delegates, and the president of the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca, or a person in whom he delegates. The awarding of the award to the winning educational center will take place within the Institutional Act scheduled to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Finally, the mayor of Equality and Education has added that "the winning contest and all the papers presented will become part of the Virtual Equality Library, which is in the process of being created by this Department, in order to contribute a pedagogical resource to promote the coeducation of girls and boys.In it we can find stories and coeducational books that help teachers, families and the population of Lorca, in general, to co-educate and advance in equal opportunities between women and men ".
