II Basic Course on Tracking and Monitoring of People Affected by Covid-19 (25/10/2020)

| The Municipal Emergency Service and Civil Protection of Lorca imparts the II Basic Course on Tracking and Monitoring of People Affected by Covid-19 | A total of 33 professionals and volunteers from the civil protection sector of the municipalities of Águilas, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras and Aledo have participated in this training action with the aim of implementing the model to fight the pandemic developed in Lorca in their respective municipalities.This weekend the 'II Basic Course on Tracking and Monitoring of those affected by COVID-19' was held in the assembly hall of the Comprehensive Emergency and Security Center of Lorca, organized by the Municipal Emergency Service and Civil Protection from the Lorca Town Hall.This new training action, in which 33 professionals and volunteers from the civil protection sector of the municipalities of Águilas, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras and Aledo have participated as students, has been carried out as a result of the request of the municipalities of Area III of Health and the autonomous health authorities themselves, in order to implement the model to fight the pandemic that Lorca has developed.The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, who inaugurated this new training edition of the fight against the pandemic, together with the Councilor for Emergencies, Isabel Casalduero, highlighted "the effort of the Lorca town hall for training and advice to other municipalities, responding to this way to the solidarity of these neighboring municipalities due to the earthquake suffered in 2011 ", and insisted" on the importance of advancing in support mechanisms in matters of emergencies and civil protection among different administrations.

"For its part, the mayor of Emergencies, Isabel Casalduero has pointed out that "this model is based on a persistent tracking and monitoring action, from the joint coordination center, CECOVID, directed by the Municipal Emergency Service and Civil Protection of Lorca (in permanent link with other municipal services), also adding to Health Area III and the Public Health Service of this health demarcation ".The initiative of the Lorca City Council through the CECOVID as the basis of the municipal effort against the pandemic, has allowed the accumulated incidence of COVID-19 in our municipality to be reduced by 60%, going from leading the regional infection statistics a little over a month ago , to be currently below the regional average, in a context of growth of infections at the national and regional level.The basic course of tracking and monitoring of those affected by COVID-19 organized in Lorca, is the only one of these characteristics that is held in the Region of Murcia, having held its second edition in this case.

At the request of other municipalities, we are preparing the third edition of this, in addition to a specialization course for supervisors of tracking and monitoring centers.The main objective of the new edition of this training action against the pandemic has consisted of instructing about thirty troops, made up of professional and voluntary personnel, from the services and groups of civil protection volunteers from Águilas, Totana, Puerto Lumbreras and Aledo , so that throughout the next week they integrate the tracking and monitoring structure of their respective municipalities.This new edition of the course has provided attendees with general knowledge about the SARS-CoV-2 disease, its evolution and epidemiological affectation, the transmissibility of the disease and prevention measures; Tracking strategies, contact with the technological tools for the management of infectious diseases and outbreaks EDOSAN and SIBRE, adding to this the measures to protect the privacy of those affected, as well as effective communication techniques for tracking.
