The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the Deputy Minister for Public Works, Mario Garcés, and the Minister of Public Works of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Rivera, have signed this morning an amendment to the agreement for the regeneration and renewal of a urban area of ​​Lorca, which means increasing in 126 homes that will be subject to this renewal.

Altogether with this modification, through the agreement will rehabilitate 335 homes and 200 other homes were remade in those buildings affected by the earthquake in Lorca in 2011. To this end, the Ministry will invest 3,191,429.25 euros , to which must be added the contribution of the Autonomous Community, City Hall and individuals.

This action is part of the Agreement signed on 26 September 2014 between the Ministry of Development and the Region of Murcia, for the implementation of the State Plan of Development of rental housing, the edificatoria rehabilitation and regeneration and urban renewal 2013-2016 whereby the Ministry of Development brings to the Autonomous Region of Murcia more than 58 million euros ".

In total this agreement, and previous subscribers throughout 2014 and 2015, 2,798 homes will rehabilitate and be built 264. The Ministry of Public Works, in addition to the aid granted directly to individuals on the occasion of earthquake occurred in Lorca, it has invested 4 million euros for the reconstruction of the complex of San Fernando that had to be demolished in its entirety.

In the resources allocated by the Ministry of Development in housing its contribution to the recovery of historical and cultural heritage as well as the rehabilitation of the railway station of Lorca Sutullena adds.

In the field of State Administration they have been implemented so far measures for the recovery of Lorca in the amount of 810 million euros.
