This 2017 the Club Swimming Lorca turns 30 years.
Three decades in which this group has become one of the fundamental institutions to understand the development of sports activity in our municipality.
Numerous activities have been carried out throughout the year to commemorate the anniversary;
but there was the great Trofeo Ciudad de Lorca that for 7 years has been celebrated in the framework of the Guadalentín Sports Games.
As it could not be otherwise, all the regional swimming went to the City of the Sun to take part in which it is by its own merits one of the most prestigious and participative tournaments in the Region of Murcia, as it could be confirmed once again thanks to the participation of more than 350 swimmers.
Specifically they competed 14 teams of regional clubs and of other provinces that made that the Pool of San Antonio looked like in the best occasions.
At 16.45 the test started, competing swimmers of the categories pre-benjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantile, junior and absolute in both masculine and feminine modality.
Like last year, swimmers participated in masters category, but this time they had the opportunity to compete in 2 different tests.
In total, there were almost 40 different tests, including individual and mixed tests, as well as mixed relays.
The day ended with the awarding of medals to the winners in which more than 350 swimmers participated.
It is necessary to emphasize that in the general classification by teams the Cartagena - Cartagonova defeated.
In second place was Ucam Fuensanta, and third were the swimmers of the Lorca Swimming Club.
But above all, both the athletes and the spectators made a big swimming party possible, in addition to the appointments celebrated to commemorate the 30th anniversary of a club as special as the Club Swimming Lorca.
