The PSOE demands the PP to solve the problems that keep partially closed the parking of Saint Patrick (13/10/2017)

A year and a half after the completion of the works, Lorca continue to be unable to use all the squares of this parking lot which remains partially closed by the clamorous error of the PP to build it invading private grounds

The PSOE deputy spokesman, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has demanded that the Popular Party solve the problems that, a year and a half after the completion of the works, partially closed the parking near the Collegiate of San Patricio.

Up to eleven seats remain "fenced" because the Popular Party invaded private land during its construction.

This is a complaint that the Socialist Party in Lorca has made a year and a half, but to date the government team of the Popular Party has done "little or nothing" to solve it.

For this reason, the Socialist mayor asks "what do they do" the current Mayor and its councilors, because while the government team is unable to solve this situation, problems due to lack of parking in the upper districts of Lorca " are still clogged "and also the squares that continue" sealed "have become a" trash ".

The mayor says that the PP has had "more than enough" time to, in a year and a half, to carry out the necessary steps for the City of Lorca to acquire the land on which this public parking is based.

In fact, as they have known, during this time the plot of land "has changed owners" so they do not understand why it was not the consistory itself who bought this property.

Sánchez Jódar says that this is a problem that is "unique and exclusive responsibility" of the PP government team that "for more than 10 years has an absolute majority in Lorca and, therefore, with sufficient authority to solve this situation".

The mayor recalled that this problem is because the City of Lorca, by decision of the governing team of the Popular Party, invaded "unduly" part of a privately owned land for the construction of this new municipal parking.

According to Sánchez Jódar, the City Council began a process of expropriation of the properties that formed an apple bounded by the streets Corregidor, Labyrinth, Clock and Rodriguez to open a public parking. "However, he adds," the problem arises when parking works are initiated, executed and completed without the process of expropriation having been concluded, so that a part of the public car park is situated on private land ".
