The Ministry of the Presidency and Development has begun the works of protection of possible landslides on the RM-701 highway, which joins the climb to the Castle of Lorca with the parish of La Parroquia.

The general director of Highways, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, supervised today the performances that consist of the installation of some metallic poles and some panels, in the right margin of the road, while in the left one the old mesh will be replaced by another one of triple torsion, more resistant than the previous one.

Both mounts aim to prevent any detachment of rock in the road.

The works cost more than 30,000 euros and will be completed this month.
