The Councilor for Urbanism and Recovery after the Earthquake of the City of Lorca, Satur Martinez, has announced that the recovery of our city has been taken as an example in the 1st International Seminar on Sensitization against Seismic Risk in the province of Alicante.

This cycle, organized by the University of Alicante, is being held during the days of Tuesday and Wednesday in Elche, and has the participation of national and international experts in urban planning, earthquakes and emergency management.

Martínez stressed that "this ambitious cycle has tried to turn Lorca and its recovery process after the May 2011 earthquakes into protagonists within the training agenda that will take place during these days. the City of the Sun to solve the earthquake crisis and carry out the recovery and reconstruction process that is currently in its final phase ".

In this sense, the own Satur Martinez presented yesterday the presentation "The return to normality and reconstruction: The case of Lorca", which has made known the process lived since May 11, 2011 to the present, exposing the main lines of the reconstruction and the problems that the Lorca have had to face.

Then, and within the program of the Conference, the Head of the Urban Planning and Management Service of the City of Lorca, María del Sagrado Corazón García Martínez, gave the presentation "Urban aspects to take into account the planning and urban planning of the city of Elche, experience of Lorca ", with which he exposed the keys of the urban order of the City of the Sun, as well as those characteristics and particularities that can be applied successfully in the urban layout of other towns.

Also within the program, on Wednesday, the computer scientist Francisco Martínez Lorca will present the conference entitled "Information and Emergency Management: SGE 2.0 tool" with which he will present the SGE application for disaster coordination, created after the earthquakes of 2011 and that was already put into practice for the flood management of September 2012.
