They denounce that four months have passed since the Mayor of the PP and his Councilor for the Economy assured that the implementation of the participatory budgets, proposed by the PSOE, would be "imminent".

Abellán announced that in the coming Lorca, which is working the PSOE, participatory budgets will be a reality and Lorca can participate in the development of municipal budgets.

The Deputy Speaker of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán has denounced a new breach of the Popular Party, this time in relation to the implementation of participatory budgets in the municipality of Lorca.

Abellán recalled that it has been over a year and a half since the PSOE put on the table the idea of ​​implementing the figure in the participatory budgets in the City of Lorca.

Since then, the only reaction of the PP government team was to approve, in September 2017, a draft of the regulation for the commissioning of which nothing has been known, and the announcement, four months ago, that its implantation was "imminent".

From the PSOE do not know what this Mayor and his councilor of Finance understands "imminent", but they imagine, since they are the same as promised that the residents of San Fernando would have their houses rebuilt a year and a half ago, or the same as they promised the Central Round 11 years ago, before entering to govern in 2007, and that they are going to leave the mayoralty of this City council "with three of the four sections without doing".

On the other hand, the PSOE wants that the Lorca, as much of the city as of the districts, can decide "with voice and vote" in as important subjects as where to invest the money of the municipal budget.

It does not seem that it is for the work, judging from this delay, the Mayor and his PP government team.

Abellán is convinced that the delay of the PP in the implementation of participatory budgets obeys "simply and plainly" that "has never believed, nor believes, nor will ever believe" in the participation of citizens in municipal management .

It was already clear, he assures, what this Mayor understands by giving participation to the neighbors, when a few months ago he announced to carry out a consultation to ask what should be done with the Torta bridge, affected by section III of the Ronda, having already "under manga and paid", the project with the answer to that question.

This new breach demonstrates, according to Abellán, that the announcement made by the PP of the participatory budgets is another of the great lies of this government team, such as that of promising in 2015 a tax reduction for after the elections to raise the IBI, ICIO or sports fees;

or to announce in 2016 the installation in Lorca of a solar macro plant, for which the Lorca City Council was to enter 1,200,000 euros, which ended up leaking to Puerto Lumbreras.

While the PP is taking more than a year and a half to decide, municipalities such as Cartagena, Molina de Segura, Águilas, Santomera or Totana have already started them.

Therefore, in the coming Lorca, in which the PSOE works, the figure of participatory budgeting will be a reality.
