Lorca City Council launches a competition to encourage students' entrepreneurial spirit of the Vocational Training (20/10/2010)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, has the competition "Learning to take" in which groups of up to three students, along with a guardian, may submit their business ideas.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar and Employment Councillor of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, presented this morning the new program promoting self-employment for the students of the Vocational Training and Higher Institutes of Secondary Education and Integrated Vocational Training Centres of Lorca, called "Learning to undertake."

Jódar stressed that "in a crisis situation such as that suffered by our country, it is important to develop the ideas of self-employment among young people, to learn about the opportunities and support available for building your own business as an alternative to work person ".

That is why this initiative has been set up as a contest in which groups of three students, along with a tutor, design a business idea and be eligible for one of the three winners of each of the two categories (depending on a upper or middle), which consist of a 10-inch laptop for each student, a 10-megapixel digital camera and mp4, mobile phone and for each tutor.

Registration for this contest can be made from October 20, 2010 and March 1, 2011 at the secretariat of the school in which students are enrolled, referring to the Centre for Local Development business ideas will be screened .

The work submitted should be a maximum of 15 pages, including at least an introduction, justification for the idea, market needs are met, differentiating factors or innovations that are implemented, and market research, with a brief summary of potential customers, competitors, suppliers and geographical location.

The Mayor has stressed that "the City will make available to competitors, through the Department of Employment, advice to develop their enterprising idea."
