The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar put into service today a total of 20 kilometers of collecting drains that connect various hamlets lorquina the city's main sewage.

This infrastructure is an area of 16 kilometers long, which has invested 2.1 million euros.

These works, financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and capital of the autonomous region, part of a comprehensive plan that promotes Lorca Sanitation Ministry of Agriculture and Water in collaboration with the City.

The Minister of Agriculture and Water said that this municipality is the second largest in Spain, adding that "it is a purpose of the regional government to cover one hundred percent of their districts in terms of sanitation and water treatment."

"We hope to achieve this goal and for this we are counting on the good work being done by the City Council to resolve problems that arise in their implementation," he said.
