For the fourth consecutive year, the second largest municipality in Spain became the seat of a professional analysis about the current situation and prospects of the sector and its role in the new Regional Tourism Act.
The Councillor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, and Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Murcia and member of the Centre for Rural Development and Local, Prudencio Riquelme, who is also one of the directors of the day, presented this VII Regional tomorrow on Rural Tourism to be held from Wednesday 19 to Friday 21 June in Lorca, for the fourth consecutive year.
Montiel explained that "specifically, the conference will be held in the hall of the cistern of Lorca Castle shoulder so that the participants will visit the Fortress of the Sun, the new Parador de Turismo de Lorca and archaeological and Jewish Quarter of the city ".
This edition, which will focus on the prospects about the sector and in its current reality both business and within the legislative framework of the Region of Murcia, Lorca to meet stakeholders, technical professionals and administrations in the region and to municipal councilors in rural tourism pioneers who held a roundtable on their outlook.
Another important sections that take place in this edition is the talk on Rural Tourism in the new Law on Tourism of the Region of Murcia will be offered from the region.
As usual, and thanks to the collaboration of sponsors like Etnotur and DO Bullas, specifically of the Cooperativa Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Bullas, the conference will close with a wine and cheese tasting in Fortaleza del Sol as brooch end.
These workshops are driven from the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Murcia in collaboration with the Centre for Rural Development and Local and the City of Lorca.
