The City encourages the construction of the Blue Museum of the Holy Week (06/06/2014)

These are works that provide more than 1.1 million investment, which is financed by the CARM, being included in the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage damaged by earthquakes in 2011.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, with the President of the Brotherhood of Farmers, Paso Blue, José Antonio Ruiz, this morning visited the works of the Blue Museum Easter (MASS), which is being built in the old buildings of San Juan de Dios Hospital, attached to the church of San Francisco, religious headquarters of the Brotherhood.

The mayor reported that the city, through the Department of Planning has granted a license for the start of the second phase of work, which has an operating budget item suprior to 1.1 million euros .

This license ensures the maintenance of the church building and the old convent in the best conditions, allowing expose the best way to integrate the different pieces funds Azul Museum of the Holy Week.

Remember that the works are being funded by the CARM, part the work of the Master Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage city of Lorca, designed by the government to alleviate the serious damage caused by earthquakes in 2011.

This future Blue Easter Museum is the largest museum in the city of Lorca and one of the largest in the Region of Murcia.
