The Banco Sabadell Foundation donates 100,000 euros for the enhancement of the historical heritage of Lorca (18/02/2015)

The counterparty delivers 50,000 euros that will make known in Madrid's historic legacy of the city and in 2016 provide the following 50,000 euros, which will go to improving medieval assets this year.

The president of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, Miquel Molins, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, this morning signed a collaboration agreement by which the foundation is committed to donate 100,000 euros for the Director Plan for the Recovery of Cultural Heritage Lorca.

In the course of the heading, which was also attended by the Deputy Director General of Banco Sabadell Sabadell and Regional Director of CAM, Jaime Matas, and the Regional Director of Murcia de Sabadell, José Manuel Candela, the mayor explained that, according agreed, the Banco Sabadell Foundation delivers 50,000 euros, that will make known in Madrid's historic legacy of the city, and in 2016 provide the following 50,000 euros, which will go to improving medieval assets this year.

In this sense, Jódar thanked "this important and generous contribution, which will serve to continue recovering and highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of our town, which was badly damaged by earthquakes in 2011 but wearing a rate very suitable recovery ".

Francisco Jodar said "our priority has always been the reconstruction of lost homes, something that is in an advanced unstoppable process, but this was not incompatible with the need to recover our rich heritage as a key element of economic revitalization".

For this reason the mayor said "aid as we signed today, showing commitment to society Lorca Banco Sabadell necessary to provide the heritage of Lorca in top condition and make it known."

Finally, Jodar has encouraged other companies and entities follow the example of Sabadell Foundation and actively help the recovery of our heritage so, because we all have an obligation to safeguard it for future generations, so they may know their origins and the steps taken Lorca by history to become what it is today ".
