Next Friday, March 5 will take place the delivery of the "X Prize for Short Fiction Casino de Lorca", sponsored by the city of Lorca.
The event will take place at the Casino at 20 hours.
The winning novel, which will be presented by Professor Pedro Felipe Sánchez Granados, proved to be "among the sand and the sky", written by González Rico Consolation, a native and resident of Toledo.
The jury, chaired by Professor of the University of Murcia, Dr. Manuel Martinez Arnaldos and composed by Dr. José Luis Molina Martínez and graduates Pedro Felipe Sánchez Granados, Susan Torres Mora, Maria Luisa Campoy Garcia Peñas and Santos Garcia who served as Secretary, had to decide between more than 70 manuscripts submitted to the competition, coming not only from Spain but also in some South American countries, as the Award is international.
The winning novel deals with great sensitivity the various problems the problem of immigration, life adventures of characters full of humanity and strength.
The event, attended by the Chairman of the Casino, Rafael Ruiz, Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jódar Alonso, the Director General of Archives and Libraries, Francisco Jimenez Gracia, the Editorial Director of Three Frotneras, José Antonio and author Bascuñana , Consolation González Rico, will present the prize of 6,000 euros and will present the book, published in this occasion, for the first time, Three Frontiers Editorial.
