The PSOE complained that "increased by 20% while the Planning staff's workload drops precipitously" (24/03/2010)

The secretary of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego José Mateos, expressed concern today about the status of the City Planning Department, suffering from a decline "dramatic" in its revenue and said the Mayor of PP, Francisco Jodar.

Matthew explained that, indeed, since 2007 has seen a continuous decline of the activity of management, especially in regard to building permits, which has caused a considerable decline in revenues from this organism and therefore of the municipal coffers.

This decrease in 2008 alone was 60% contrasts with the increased staffing of the Planning Department because, since the arrival of PP to power, they have hired a top architect, a surveyor, an engineer public works, environmental technician, a draftsman and inspection assistant, whose salaries exceed € 200,000 gross per year, almost 35 million pesetas.

To this must be added the high pay of the manager of Urban, a controversial appointment "a finger" to Mateos described as "unnecessary."

The Socialist leader said that the staff increase of nearly 20% compared to the 2007 establishment is "unjustifiable" when the workload has diminished to a very important way.

In addition, this policy contrasts with the announcement of drastic budget cuts by the PP government team and the Mayor's repeated appeals to the citizens "to tighten their belts."

Therefore, Diego José Mateos requested that the amendment to the staff of the Planning Department raised the PP does not involve the creation of new service headquarters and an increase in fringe benefits.

He also assured that the PSOE will watch the 2010 budget to see if there is an increase from current spending on the outsourcing of services in times of crisis.

In addition, the council demanded Mateos Planning and Finance to "parking their differences" and agree to raise a genuine fiscal adjustment plan "to ensure basic services, payroll officials and employees of the City Council and payment providers. "

Otherwise, the secretary of the PSOE PP asked the mayor, Francisco Jodar, who "imposed" because it "can not consent to the municipal treasury in the hands of a person who does not dedicate enough time in crisis economic.
