The general secretary of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego Ferra, said today that Manolo Soler remains committed to choice for mayor of Lorca as a candidate of the PSOE and "to have cleared the doubts about the maintenance of the Tajo-Segura."
Ferra praised the courage of Soler who last November said it would not be the socialist candidate if the aqueduct was closed.
In this regard also welcomes the statements by the mayor of Water in Lorca, Melchor Morales, who yesterday said he would relinquish its certificate if the PP council voted for the Statute of Castilla La Mancha.
On this, Ferra qualified that the public would have considered a "gesture of gallantry," that those events had made the Mayor, Francisco Jodar, instead of Morales.
